Digital Guestguide - Kleine Mohrengasse

How to get to the apartment

Public transport from the airport (approx. 50 min):
Instead of the more expensive CAT train, you can take the S-Bahn S7 and get off at station "Praterstern". Here you have to change to the metro U1 direction "Reumannplatz" and drive one station to "Nestroyplatz". From here it is about a 3 minute walk to the apartment.

Public transport from Hauptbahnhof (approx. 15 min.):
Take the metro U1 direction "Wien Leopoldau" and drive to station "Nestroyplatz". From here it is about a 3 minute walk to the apartment.

Public transport from Westbahnhof (approx. 25 min.):
Take the metro U3 direction "Simmering" and drive to the station "Stephansplatz". Change to the metro U1 direction "Wien Leopoldau" and get off at station "Nestroyplatz". From here it is about a 3 minute walk to the apartment.

Airport transfer service

If you need a transfer service from or to the airport I can recommend the following service:

https://welc.io/p/yYwaX

You can also book child seats there and they already have the address of my apartment, but they are a bit more expensive.

If you would like to compare prices I can recommend the following homepage to check the other options:

Parking

Please note that there is a short-term parking area in Vienna. You need a parking ticket from a Trafik or gas station to be able to park next to the street (maximum of 2 hours, 2,50€/hour). This is valid only during the week (Monday 9AM - Friday 10PM), during the weekend you can park for free (just note that in some areas only residents are allowed to park, that is called "Anwohnerparken").

I would recommend to use a parking space during your stay:

Praterstraße 62-64, 1020 Vienna (about 450m from the apartment). Pricing: 8€/day

Alternative:

Afrikanergasse 3, 1020 Vienna (about 500m from the apartment). Pricing: 12€/day

Heating

The radiators are not in use, instead there are white infrared heating panels hanging on the wall. To use them you just have to plug them in and switch on the button on the side. It needs 30-60 minutes till you feel the warmth.

Restaurants & Grocery

Here are my recommendations for nearby restaurants and grocery stores:

Grocery stores:
Hofer - Zirkusgasse 24 (about 100m)
Billa - Rotensterngasse 21/23 (about 200m)
Please note that all supermarkets are closing latest at 8PM. At nearby station "Praterstern" you have a Billa supermarket open until 10PM (also during the weekend).

Restaurants:
Ramasuri - Praterstraße 19 (about 350m) - changing menu, Austrian food, also breakfast
Goldener Papagei - Praterstraße 17 (about 350m) - Cafe, very good coffee
Karmelitermarkt (about 650m) - different kind of restaurants, pizza, cafes, bars, burger, Austrian food etc.
Schweizerhaus - Prater 116 (about 1,7km) - very popular beer garden
Gasthaus Reinthaler - Stuwerstraße 5 (about 1,4km) - Traditional Viennese cuisine

TV & Streaming

You have a Smart-TV in the apartment. In case you don't get a signal you might have to switch the input of the TV to HDMI 1 or HDMI 2 to get access to the Fire TV Stick.

Washing machine

To use the washing machine you can either use washing powder or a washing pod. First you have to turn it on by pressing the button "On/Off", after choosing the program just press "Start". If you want you can also adapt the temperature or spin number.

Clothes dryer

For the clothes dryer I would recommend to use the program "Extratrocken". After choosing the program by turning the wheel you can press "Start/Pause" to start the program. Usually it takes about 60-90 minutes.

Before starting the program you might have to empty the condensed water, you will find the container on the bottom on the left side (press the button on the bottom, then the cover will open):

You might also want to empty the lint filter before using the clothes dryer. You find it in the door.

Trash

Here are the details in case you want to get rid of the trash:

On the ground floor you have access to a small courtyard, there you will find trash bins.

Emergency numbers

In case of an emergency:

Police: 133

Ambulance: 144

Fire department: 122

Check-out instructions

The check-out time is latest 11AM, in most cases a late check-out isn't possible, but storing your luggage after 11AM is usually possible. Just let me know latest 1-2 days before check-out if you need it.

For the check-out itself there is nothing specific to take care of.
